Joan of Arcadia fans are mad as hell, and they're not gonna take it anymore! They want the show to come back, even though CBS has canceled the show and will replace it with Ghost Whisperer, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. This AP story has this quote from a CBS spokesman: "It was one of the toughest programming decisions we have had to make in the last couple of years because qualitatively, everyone here loved the show and was proud of the show." Which probably just frustrates fans even more.

Amber Tamblyn on Conan said nothing about Joan of Arcadia, she has moved on. The situation seems to be not like Farscape or Party of Five where the budget wouldn't allow for more episodes. Instead the network lost confidence. Watching the "surprising" season finale if the show would've continued they would've changed its flavor.

Man... Ghost Whisperer, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt... that just DOESN'T sound good at all.

I was extremely disappointed to learn of the untimely cancellation of "Joan of Arcadia", just when the creator of the show was about to take the storyline to new heights. It is indeed a tragedy for the TV-viewing community to lose such a well-written, family-friendly drama. I still hope that Sony will be able to find another network to buy this phenomenal show. In the end, I understand that efforts to bring back the brilliant drama will probably turn out to be futile. However, hopefully at least network decision makers such as CBS's Chairman Les Moonves will somehow sense loyal viewers' utmost disappointment and outrage through e-mails, letters, and campaigns.

I have to say Joan Of Acardia was not a bad show but, I do have to admit I'd rather see Jennifer Love Hewitt new show Ghost Whisperer. She's an amazing actress and I believe the show Ghost Whisperer could be much better than Joan Of Acardia. So CBS I believe you made a good choice.

It often sounds like there is no hope for saving canceled shows like Joan. Our hope here is that another network will see the value in Joan of Arcadia, an award winning show, and do what CBS never did--try a better night. We've seen many dramas die on Friday nights at 8. Why not give this show a better chance? There is a committed fan base busy writing to the other networks right now. Other shows such as Farscape, Pretender, X-Files and Firefly, got movies to give fans more closure--even a feature film. Still others found new life on other networks (Buffy, JAG, Sliders). It's not over until its over, and the fat lady hasn't sung yet. I should know, because I'm the fat lady and I'm still warming up.
Joan of Arcadia would make some network a fine mid-season replacement.

Tapati McDaniels all true and that would be great, the biggest success Star Trek. But you bring up Sliders they took a great and fantastical show and killed off all but one of the main charcters and changed everything we liked about the plot. A finale movie yes, mid-season replacement no. They should spend the resources on a quality movie not stretch out a dying series.

I think the way JoA ended this season, a finale movie would be perfect. I think 2 hours of Joan-vs-The Devil is all anyone would really need.

This is a strange situation. I never saw "Joan
of Arcadia", but if it can't make it, then
"Ghost Whisperer" definitely can't...that's
a cheap copy of "Medium" and so is one more
tax write-off for poor Jennifer Love Hewitt...
she hasn't been on TV for SIX YEARS and this
is not going to be good for her career...
