Yeah, the name didn't ring a bell with me at first either, but he was the voice of Tony the Tiger, sang the song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" in the How The Grinch Stole Christmas" Xmas special, and provided many voices for Disneyland attractions and in movies (The Aristocats, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations, Alice in Wonderland) and TV shows. He died Sunday at age 91 in Fullerton, CA.

That's sad. What I always remember about Thurl Ravenscroft was the trivia that when the Grinch tv show came out, Dr. Seuss called him up and said "What did you think?" He replied, "I don't know, according to the credits I wasn't in it!" Turns out they'd somehow left his name off the credits.
