The Sundance Channel is getting into the reality business. And the trannie business. Both, at once. They're partnering with LOGO, the new gay channel from MTV Networks, to produce TransGeneration, which will follow four mid-gender transition college students, "as they balance schoolwork, campus life and family with their commitment to gender reassignment." The series will premiere on Sundance in September and will re-air on Logo in early 2006. This does seem like the next logical step in realityism - and trannies are so hot right now, even a Desperate housewife is doing it - but reality shows beget reality shows, and I'm wary of anything that's going to get in the way of the steady diet of "quirky" mid-90s romantic dramedies to which Sundance has gotten me hooked. If I can't watch Walking and Talking at least once a month, I don't know what I'll do.Sundance and LOGO partner for transgender reality show
