No, I'm not talking about the crappy sequel to the great Murphy/Nolte flick. FOX has announced they have decided to renew the hugely successful 24 for two more seasons, meaning another 48 hours of Jack Bauer's adventures through 2007 ... or does it? No word on whether Kiefer Sutherland has been contracted for those seasons, but initially one has to assume so. The future of the show was questionable as producers attempted to seek a higher license fee to cover increased production costs. As we reported earlier, there were rumors that another network such as NBC might be allowed to step in and steal the show away. No show for you, NBC. Another 48 hours

While I'm glad, I'm also ambivalent. We stopped watching this season about three episodes in - we just didn't have time to keep up with it. Perhaps next season will be different, now that we have DVR. Time will tell.

24 is so, so good. So consistently clever and powerful. So, tight. Keifer is incredibly good in it and his part is so well-written. Love this show.
