Since L&O: Trial by Jury went down in flames, does this mean no more Law and Order spinoffs? Oh well, I was really looking forward to Law and Order: Elevator Inspectors Unit.

No mention of American Dreams, although I believe it, too, has finally and mercifully been cancelled (according to an AP story on the subject). Hopefully now they will run the series finale, which I understand was already written and possibly even shot.

Isn't Grey's Anatomy on at 10? That should help West Wing be a little safer (though it's going up against the Simpsons, Cold Case - 60 minutes when football runs long - and those Extreme Makeover shows. I'm surprised The Office was renewed. I would have put Scrubs on the fall schedule (instead of having it hazy when it's returning) before The Office!

I don't see any new shows that look like "Breakout hits" in their new lineup. Kudos for renewing The Office - but UN-Kudos for sticking it behind the ONLY new comedy on the schedule..

Sometimes, TV makes me so sad. It all sounds, done...done...burnt to a crisp done.
Yeah, I'll watch it all...but I won't be excited about it.

Trial by Jury was the worst law and order by far. Personally, I would rate SVU as the best law and order series by far for the last couple of years, then criminal intent (Donofrio freaks me out but I like him), then the original, and then if you dig down to the last couple rings of hell you would find trial by jury there.

This is why NBC is dead last.
GIVE SHOWS SOME TIME !!!!!! I was just reading the article in TV Guide about Raymond and how it did poorly the first couple years, as did Seinfeld of course. Rarely shows are great in the first year and when you are dead last you have zero patience to let things play out.
I'm very sad to see Medical Investigation go, it was a very solid show and provided a fresh experience on the "CSI" concept.
I'm doubly sad about Contender. In my opionion this is Burnett's best work, and it's a shame nobody is watching. I'm a big surviour fan, but it was actually a let down last night going from a great contender to the final four of Survivour... oh well I figured this was going to happen with the morons running that network.
The best part is when they actually find something that works, like Last Comic Standing, they plunge it down our throats until we can't take it anymore and they ruin that as well.

E-Ring sounds like it might be worth checking out but nothing else there grabs my attention, though as a Jason lee fan I'll have to check out his show.
Fathrom might be alright too but with the sloppy track record major networks have with science fiction shows (obviously with a few notable exceptions) I don't know if I'll invest the time. If it is marketed properly and NBC gives it some time (sci fi / fantasy series tend to build over time as the "cult" grows) it might be worth checking out.

FATHOM share the same name with a comic from Top cow which is now going to get released by aspen comic
the comic talked about creature from deep sea too , did they mention any relation with the comic ?
and how would The Apprentice: Martha Stewart , work ? people work on cakes and install red carpets and at the end she tell them she doesn't like the color and give them a pie ?
its bad we are losing The Contender , i enjoyed a lot and wished they did another season

Trial By Jury was a good show. It sucks they put it on Friday night. I have a life, I'd download a torrent of it over the weekend to catch it. To know it's being replaced by a shows called "My Name is Earl" and "Thick & Thin" makes me want to turn off my television.

A Friday night time slot is like putting a show in the coffin before it even gets started.

I hate to see Contender and Medical Investigation go. Both great shows. I wouldn't be surprised to see either come back possibly late-season next year when some of the new shows inevitably start failing.

Gordy I know what your saying i just feel the same way but going to the extreme of turning off my tv NEVER (do you hear me Nielsen send me one of your damn boxes)....Anyways will NBC ever learn that they just suck. Last year it was the number 1 network but right now I can't find anything else to watch there than Medium and the 1 episode left of those slow Revelations(really why the hell is that show so slow when it's only 6 eps long??)

I work odd hours so I try not to get interested in too many TV shows. I stumbled across Crossing Jordan a couple of times before I ever caught what the name of it was so I could watch it again. I really like the show. Another one that I have found that I like is Medium. Other than those, the Law and Order shows are the only ones I have seen worth watching.

TWW, L&O:CI, and Jordan makes for an interesting night of TV, but it is up against ABC's new monster Sunday, so it will be hard to compete.
WW is actually my favorite show in TV, and my guess is that they only have one more season left of life. Too bad; a Santos' administration would have been interesting to watch past a few episodes.
I'm also not impressed with what NBC has done to revamp their schedule. But they seem to have a problem other networks don't... they have a lot of shows in their last legs... which means they don't want to cancel them, yet they will only do semi-alright in terms of ratings.
I believe this season is a transition year for them, we are going to see the last of show like WW, ER, CJ, to name a few, before they look to change it all.
Having said this, my big problem is that they could have done a better job picking new shows to test. I'm not impressed with what they have come up with.

way to totally kill west wing putting it opposite grey's anatomy nbc. though WW has been on its last legs for awhile. i'm glad to see the office is back, though i was a little mixed on the show, i think it has potential. but that it's back (and AD!!!) is a bit of a miracle by itself, with networks not really waiting around for shows to fully develop (let's be honest, first 1-2 seasons of seinfeld if on now, might not make it to season 3 and 4).

oops, disregarded time zones. yeah WW might do well against simpsons, 60 minutes. who knows maybe it breaks out again this season with election stories, though somehow i doubt it. also, don't feel like looking it up, but doesn't nbc have sunday night football (or is starting in the 2006 season)? so how does that impact sunday night scheduling? if it is 06, then is 05 sunday night the place where nbc places shows to either get some ratings/audience or die bc in 06 it will be football?
