Was the list of failed Fox shows that Peter rattles off payback enough? The fact they left Greg the Bunny for last was certainly on purpose and almost makes up for it. Disturbing Honeymooners, Pinocchio and Mel Gibson clips puts The Family Guy back in stride. It’s like they never left. I think the best part of the show is that I can sense every time some uptight viewer was “outraged”. I love it. And a cameo from Flint too! Yo Joe! Glad it’s back. As long as fans can prove that big corporations can make millions more off of us, we get what we want. The Family Guy: North by North Quahog

Indeed. The grease-covered deaf guy was the clincher. The only thing that could have made it better is if they had mentioned [adult swim] at some point. Meh, pipe dreams.

Reading this and remembering the disturbing Honeymooners and Pinocchio skits have me in tears once again! It's all in the timing, and this show has great timing - much like the early South Park episodes.

I missed the intro. Does someone have a list of all the shows or a link to someplace that does?

Everybody I've got bad news...we've been cancelled! Oh No Peter how could they do that?? Well unfortunately Lois there just no room on the schedule, we've just got to accept the fact that FOX has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That 80's show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girls Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freakylinks, Wanda at Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute with Stan Hooper, Normal Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddie, The Street, The Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer, The Tick, Luis, and Greg the Bunny Is there no hope? Well i suppose if all those shows go down the tube we might have a shot.

They left some shows out--Performing as, The Pulse, John Doe, Bonzai (although FOX didn't actually make that one), and American Juniors (holy crap that was bad) to name just a few.

Okay, I'm dense. What was with the grease-covered deaf guy? Did I miss a subtle reference from Brian's drug days?

The biggest problem I had with the list is that it's largely made up of terrible, terrible shows. Unfortunately it also includes really great shows that Fox ran into the ground and killed (ok, mainly just Firefly). They certainly have one of the worst records for quickly killing wonderful shows with strong fan support after doing everything they could to make them fail (e.g. Firefly, Family Guy, Futurama, likely Arrested Development). I hate to keep harping on Firefly, but it's been on my mind due to the movie. Given a little more support it could have been huge (recent preview screenings sold out almost immediately), but no... better to air episodes out of order and cancel it halfway in.
