There is an Internet campaign to change the results of American Idol. We're not quite sure if Vote For The Worst is attempting to change the course of the popular reality show for humor or some higher social commentary, but their mission is clear: Vote for the worst contestant every week. For the past few weeks that has been Scott Savol. Scott received the third highest votes last night, even though he is clearly the weakest contestant. The smoldering Constantine was sent home after picking a crappy song Tuesday. Results have fans pissed off and we're gussing that's really VFTW's agenda: To mess with fans of the show. I still think if we got to actually vote off our least favorite Idol officially, there wouldn't be an issue. A united America against Scott would surely have him gone.

If you look at Tuesday night's performances and then look at how the results went last night, you'd almost think that things got reversed.
Carrie and Scott should have been in the bottom two last night.
That the three best performances were the bottom three vote getters says ALOT about the state of Americans.
Then again, they're probably the same idiots who returned George W. Bush to the White House.
Constantine was robbed! I certainly hope a record company snags him soon.

That was shocking. But, I didn't like him anyway. He was a profesional entertainer, and he shouldn't have been there.

I'm a 54 year old women and I can't believe that Constatine was voted off. He's the reason that us older woment watch the show in the first place (we can dream can't we):-)
It won't be the same without him, but now we have to hope that Bo makes it.

If people are being influenced by that website urging people to vote for the worst contestant, then what's the point of watching it anymore? I really fell for the anticipation of the show, and I really looked forward every week to HONEST RESULTS even if Americans didn't agree solely with me. But come on! This is simple the stupidiest thing I've ever witnessed. Ok so maybe AI isn't a fraud, and if they truly care about the INTEGRITY OF THE SHOW, they'll change their voting platform and hopefully do something with that website that is trying to mess up the results. It's not funny anymore. But of course making a stink about that website is only going to give them more attention, which is why I didn't promote the link on my blog. Why can't we just have a FAIR CONTEST?!?!?

I think the staff at AI need to have the votes reviewed, there is no freaking way that SCOtt should still be there. I have always watched AI since it started and have voted many of times and feel that the outcomes are reasonable, but this season's AI has to be classified as one of the biggest JOKES!!!
I keep waiting for them to say "SMILE your on CANDID CAMERA" or yu've just been punk'd.
I and others have talked about and refuse to finish watching the rest of the episodes. If
FOX is going for an explosive end to the finale, they sure as heck have done it.
So disgusted.

I went to the VFTW website and I get it now. The joke is on Hollywood, but unfortunately the contestants are pawns in it.

I really think you people are overestimating the power of VFTW. Considering that most of us just heard about it after trolling last night, isn't there a possibility that Scott just happened to beat out Constantine and VFTW is just capitalizing on all of the buzz you guys are creating? I doubt VFTW, and underground cult site, has a legion of millions of people swaying the competition. Common sense dictates that millions of people would vote for the best contestant after seeing them on AI on FOX, and since FOX is broadcast to nearly every home in the country, that person should be fine, and should not lose out to the niche group of people who follow VFTW.
If you think this (Connie getting voted of) is a fraud to mess with the audience, you should get over yourselves. If you think VFTW is really substantially swaying the competition, you're seriously lacking in the logical reasoning department. And you if swear you'll never watch the show again, that's fine, but ask yourself who you should really be mad at: The producers of the show or the American people?

You know, if VFTW and others are voting for the worst as a joke, out of spite, or for whatever reason, it makes a lot of sense out of what's been happening. It's also very hilarious. It's the biggest practical joke ever! And if you don't like it, you are an idiot.
Look, in the end, AI is just a friggin TV game show, and some of you are taking it way too seriously. Stop being a baby and do the same thing those countries with cultures do: get in on the joke! EVERYBODY start voting for the worst, until it gets to the final two, and then NOBODY votes. C'mon America, are you capable of showing the least amount of STYLE and making this a planet-size joke?

As somebody who can't stand AI (I find it to be tedious and lame, but then I hate most popular music anyways, so obviously the show isn't aimed at me.), I thought this was hilarious at first, but now i think it's just mean spirited. For those of us who don't care about AI, we shouldn't bother voting. All this will accomplish is to drive up the viewership/voting next week as the true fans try to "save" thier show by voting the right contesteant off, which is exactly what Fox wants.

This shows that something has to be done about the voting system on American Idol. The system should be fixed to allow only one vote from one number.

I am a 37 year old professional with a master's degree and consider myself a proud member of VFTW. I'm tired of folks assuming we are all teenagers with too much time on our hands trying to ruin a good thing. On the contrary, I "vote for the worst" to raise awareness that reality shows aren't real. The system was set up by American Idol from the beginning to decieve the public, and now finally millions can no longer delude themselves into believing Idol is on the up and up. I love the concept of American Idol, but want it to be what it pretends to be - a fair competition. Only by exposing it's flaws can the flaws be fixed!

IMO Constantine and Bo were/are the shot in the arm that this show needed. This has been the most entertaining year ever thanks to the rockers.
The judges need to quit letting joke-bait in the final group.

His band was signed by the same record company as William Hung (for back-up?) how's THAT for "talent"?
Maybe if he's lucky he'll get a guest spot as a corpse on HOUSE

I wasn't wild about Con's song choice on Tuesday; it's just not the type of music I enjoy.
His performance, IMO, was not as good as previous ones and if I had not seen him in previous weeks, I would never have voted for him. But since I DID see him in previous weeks, I voted for him like mad.

I think the people out to destroy AI should be ashamed of themselves. Just because you dislike a certain program doesn't give you the right to ruin it. I wish people would learn how to mind their own business. There are many things I dislike and I just pay it no mind.
