Come on, you knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Rachael Ray is all over the Food Network with 30 Minute Meals and the show where she eats and cooks with celebs and that show where she tries to survive in a city for only nine cents a day, so you knew she was going to get her own food magazine. She's teaming with Reader's Digest to offer Everyday With Rachael Ray, a food and lifestyle magazine. You know it's good because not only will it cover all the things that everyday people are interested in (it will be similar to Real Simple), but the title actually rhymes. That's excellent. And here's my prediction: there will be some cross-promotion with a TV show of the same name that Ray will host. Martha Stewart, watch out.

Rachel Ray is a total hotty. Not only that, but she can cook! Hmmm...let's see, 30 minutes to make a meal, that leaves more time for lovin'.

I am waiting for the day she drop that big load of crap she carries from the fridge and cupboard to the cooktop. Her mom been getting after her about that.
What about her "$40 a Day" show? I am sure that a good program for filler tip space in the magazine.

My girlfriend absolutely hates her. I can't say I blame her. Her cooking is generally not all that great and I find her to be just a bit too condescending and disturbingly bubbly. While my personal Food TV enmity will remain directly entirely at Emeril she still has absolutely nothing on Alton Brown.

Rachel is a joy to watch -- effervescent, fun and informative. She never talks down to the viewer or comes off as a know-it-all. I think that's a lot of her appeal. If they can get that across in the new magazine, they'll have a hit. And if they're wise, they'll do more than just food and travel.
