I've
said before I haven't caught Veronica Mars but know lots of
folks love the cult show about a teenage private eye. Harry Hamlin
recently joined the cast and is getting kudos for his playing of a
vain, Hollywood dad. His Q&A with Angel Cohn of TVGuide.com is
candid and a fun read, especially for you Veronica Mars fans.[Veronica Mars, UPN Tues. 9 p.m. EST]

Harry Hamlin has been on the show almost all season. According to IMDB, as far back as episode 6. I love this show (even though i'm not it's intended demographic) but it's just very well written and Kristen Bell is adorable/cute/sexy/etc!

I'm not sure who the "intended demographic" is for the "Veronica Mars," but I know people of all ages who love it. Even though the lead character is in high school, it's actually a very sophisticated and adult show and deals with dark subject matter and themes (which is one reason it gets compared to Buffy a lot - the heroine is in high school, but it's not really *about* high school). VM is not for children, that's for sure, and if you're offended by storylines involving murder, rape, adultery, and incest, then it's not the show for you.
But if you like intelligent writing, witty dialogue, complex and layered characterizations, and suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat, then VM fits the bill. It's outstanding in every way. The lead actress Kristen Bell is the kind of supremely gifted actress that doesn't come along very often, especially in TV -- she can handle anything that's thrown at her and throw it they do, week after week. I've seen every episode and I *still* can't believe this show is on UPN.
