Desperate Housewives: Live Alone and Like It

HousewivesThis is one of those episodes I like to quaintly call “character development” filler. Not much happens to move the overall plot of the series, but we get a deeper look into the lives of our favorite housewives. The biggest revelation tonight is Bree's admission that she is a truly religious woman. One that believes her gay (or bisexual since he likes vanilla and chocolate) son is headed to hell if he doesn't go straight. Otherwise we're shown that you can like a crusty neighbor and men if they have money depending on the situation.

Lynette and Mrs. McCluskey's love/hate relationship seems like just a ploy to keep Lynette's otherwise dull life in the picture as the other three, more warped, housewives have the real dish. It's sad, because Felicity Huffman plays the role of Lynette so perfectly. She's probably the most realistic housewife (not a caricature) on the show.

Susan is just getting annoying with her man and mother problems and Mrs. Solis (hehe) just needs to grow out of this materialism thing. How can she be this powerful female character one second and then have to prostitute her time for a free gourmet meal the next? Otherwise the show is still a winner and we'll keep watching. Especially now that we know who's body was in that toy chest. How did that slip in?!
