Our weekly preview of what's coming up on the late night talk shows.
- The Daily Show: tonight it's Byron York, author of The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy; on Tuesday, Senator Bob Dole; Wednesday has author John Avlon, and David Duchovny talks about his new movie House of D on Thursday.
- The Late Show With David Letterman: Letterman returns with all new eps after a week that had a mixed bag of new eps and repeats. Tonight Robin Williams talks about House of D; on Tuesday Mickey Rourke from Sin City; on Wednesday Duchovny comes by to talk about X-Files 2. Just kidding! He'll talk about House of D I'm sure (t's all D all the time this week); Anthony Lapaglia and Ana Gasteyer pop up on Thursday, and Friday's show will feature Kristen Chenoweth from The West Wing.
- Jay Leno: As usual, Leno will start the week with Headlines, the only funny part of his show, really. Tonight he'll welcome Charles Barkley and Fantasia "Hey Don't Forget I Won Idol Too!" Barrino; Pamela Anderson is Stacked on Tuesday; Christiane Amanpour talks about the news on Wednesday; Farrah Fawcett tries to get through an interview on Thursday; and Tom Arnold will box George Foreman on Friday.
- Jimmy Kimmel: Anyone know why Kimmel has a repeat every Thursday night? Comment below if you know. Tonight Kimmel has Karl Malone; on Tuesday it's Sean Astin and Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon (Eyes); Wednesday he has David Krumholz (Numb3rs) and Hall and Oates (dinosaurs); Andy Dick is on Thursday's repeat, and on Friday he welcomes Omar Epps.
- Late Night With Conan O'Brien: O'Brien is always a repeat on Monday nights (Chazz Palminteri and Marcia Cross are on); Tuesday it's Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) and Duran Duran; on Wednesday it's Jimmy Fallon and Lewis Black (whose new book, incidentally, is quite good); on Thursday - you guessed it - it's Duchovny; and on Friday, it's Jeff Goldblum and Le Tigre, which is either an actor, a band, or a shirt.
- The Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson: Did you know that Ferguson is getting better ratings than Kilborn did? Tonight he's joined by Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia) and Jim Caivezel; tomorrow it's Eric Idle; on Wednesday it's Matthew Polly (?); on Thursday, it's Fran Drescher, whose new show Living With Fran is just taking up space; and on Friday some guy named David Duchovny stops by.
