I can't believe NBC is really cancelling the best show on television BAR NONE!!! I certainly will NOT be watching any of the Law & Order shows because of this. Third Watch is getting a raw deal! I feel NBC is really making a big mistake. I'm really, really sad to see the show go. I'll not watch anything NBC puts in it's time slot. I guess I'll be down to only 1 primetime show & Days on NBC, that's a pretty big thing concidering just a few short years a ago I thought that if I could only have one channel to watch I'd pick NBC. That's certainly not the case anymore.
I'm hoping like a lot of others, that another smarter network will pick it for the 7th season & beyond. It's only been the last few months that NBC even offered Third Watch merchandise. There are only 3 choices now, one hat, one T-Shirt & one mug. I own all three.
New Third Watch episodes will be sorely missed for a long time to come.

Here is my ignored open letter to NBC:
Please dont cancel Third Watch! Third watch is one of the top 5 shows on television including Pay cable. Sure some of the stories get a bit sappy, but I guarantee that there is no way that another show will have nearly the dedicated following on Friday nights. This show has made stars out of numerous people. This is not a small group of people that like a show. It is an under promoted show, that given more air time would garner and even greater following. It is a better show than ER and made by the same people. The character development is terrific, and people all over the world love the show. I would say, instead of putting the show off the air on non new eps nights, poll the public and get some favorite episodes on instead. The show only gets better and as the writing team get better at shortening the story arcs without being too condensed it will thrive even more.
Thank you in advance for your help and realize that this show has an avid unwavering fan base that could counteract the common variables of television viewership and actually continue to grow and thrive in wayward time slots and with little to no promotion at key times. Put this show on after whatever NBCs next big hit and see the numbers grow. It really does deserve a chance, not just because I or any other people writing or calling think so, but because it is one of the most texturally advanced well conceived shows on television. It has true heroes and shows that people who are strong valorous in the everyday world are ordinary people too leading extraordinary lives.
Thanks again.

I think Third Watch has been , the best show on TV, since the shows start. I never could understand why, nobody from this show ever got nominated for an emmy, for anything, over the years. As far as I'm concerned, hollywood has been a big bore for years. Same shows, same people get nominated and win. Over and Over. Also I think Monday was a better day for this show, to be on. It seems, the best shows are always jacked around. The network itself seems to slaughter their own shows. Cancelling Third Watch, is defintely a NO-BRAINER.

Wake up NBC!! When you moved Third Watch to Friday night, that was the show's demise, not the show itself or the story lines, or the actors! Third Watch is by far, my favorite show of all times, and I am 52 years old. I enjoy all the Law & Orders and watch them faithfully, but have to admit, I REALLY don't like Trial By Jury. Every Friday night, I make sure everything is done so I can sit and watch, 9:00-10:00. I love the show SO much that the hour just flies by and I get really depressed when it's over! :-)
Third Watch Fans - check out savemyshow.com and vote. Not sure if NBC will care, but vote anyway, just in case. We need to do whatever we can to convince NBC not to cancel, or, show the other networks that they need to pick it up.

My favorite show of all time. No wonder NBC"s ratings are in fourth place. Putting Third Watch in the dead-end, death's door Friday night time slot was an early death nell for Faith, Sully, Bosco, Ty et al This shows NBC cares nothing about us millions of fans. NBC will be my last choice for TV from now on.

I am so upset about this! This is my favorite show of all time. I love seeing Bosco, Faith, Ty, and all the other actors in the show. This is the one show I look foward to each and every week. I think they have no reason to cancel this show. It is getting plenty of viewers and I personal think this is a good season. I just want to cry. I think they need to think about what they are doing and re-think their poor choice!

When I found out Third Watch was being canceled, I couldn't believe it. It was my favorite show on TV. I think NBC is going to regret the decision to drop this show. I've seen the new Law & Order Trial by Jury and was not impressed. There's no way that could take the place of Third Watch. We certainly don't need another Law & Order.
I hope the Third Watch DVD's are released, at least I could watch the re-runs.
NBC - you made a bad decision and I hope you live to regret it!!!!!

This is the most ridiculous decision Jeff Sucker.. I mean Zucker has made. This was a great television show, and in my opinion just got better each season. There are so many open story lines that hopefully another network will pick this show up. I love Law and Order too, but there has to be room for everyone.

This is a terrible loss to NBC and they don't even realize it. All I can say is good-bye NBC and hello CBS. NBC is burying themselves and they don't realize it. I mean really, is there a reason they think we the viewers really want to watch 4 different Law and Order shows each week? NBC, you need to do yourselves a favor watch CBS for a week to find out what you're doing wrong!!

I am in shock!! My mom and I were watching third watch and saw the preview for next week saying it was the final show and I SCREAMED NO! They have given this show the runaround so much changing days/times but I love it and made sure to always find when it was going to be on. I am a diehard fan since the show started and I am so pissed off at NBC. I wrote them to tell them this not that it will do any good at this point but maybe. I am sick of Law and Order too, enough is enough. I will not be watching NBC anymore after this those idiots.

Hello everyone. I am glad to see that my husband and I are not the only ones that feel so strongly about this TV show. We as a public have watched the characters grow and evolve. We have laughed and cried with them for years. It is a wonderful cast and crew and they deserved better, and we deserve better. It is obvious that NBC does not care about that. I have started an online petition concerning the cancellation of the show, and if anyone would like, please feel free to sign it and pass it around. Maybe we can get NBC to actually take into account how its viewers feel! The link to the petition is: www.petitiononline.com/nbctw/petition.html. It will not take long, it is sweet and to the point. Thanks everyone, and here's hoping we can one day have our great show back!
